A Brief History of Guerlain

Guerlain was founded by Pierre-François Pascal in 1828 and became renowned primarily for its fragrances. The first perfume boutique opened in Paris, and the brand remained family-owned for generations until LVMH acquired it in 1994. Today, the brand's "quality makeup products are loved by millions" alongside its iconic scents.

A few iconic pieces from the brand's history: the SHALIMAR oriental fragrance, the first one-handed ROUGE AUTOMATIQUE lipstick, and the TERRACOTTA bronzer. The MÉTÉORITES PEARLS powder pearls are handcrafted by just three artisans in the world, in a process that requires at least 6 months of training.

The Météorites Pearls

The powder pearls are developed for skin correction and illumination, delivering a natural glow. I purchased mine in the "Medium" shade, which didn't read too dark on my skin tone. The product has a delicate violet scent and comes in three shades: clair, medium, and doré.

Application

The brand recommends applying with a brush by tracing the letter G or the number 3 across the face. I use the Real Techniques 400 brush.
